This page sets out the limits of what Bond Theory offers. It applies to this website, to every product we sell, and to any email, video or social post we publish.
1. Educational purpose only
Everything Bond Theory publishes is general educational and informational material about relationships, communication and personal development. It is written for a general audience and cannot take account of your particular circumstances, history or health.
2. Not professional advice
We are not therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, lawyers or financial advisers, and we do not present ourselves as any of these. Nothing we publish is:
- Medical or psychiatric advice, diagnosis or treatment.
- Psychotherapy, counselling or clinical intervention.
- Legal advice about marriage, separation, custody or property.
- Financial advice of any kind.
Reading our material, joining our email letter or writing to our support address does not create a therapist–client, doctor–patient or attorney–client relationship.
If you are in crisis, please do not rely on a guide. If you are experiencing abuse, coercion or violence, thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, or a mental health emergency, contact your local emergency number or a qualified professional or support service in your country right away. That is a situation written material is not equipped to help with, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
3. No guarantee of results
A relationship involves at least two people, plus history, circumstances and choices we cannot see. We make no representation or guarantee that reading or applying our material will produce any particular outcome — reconciliation, a specific change in a partner's behaviour, or any other result. Individual outcomes vary widely, and some situations do not improve regardless of effort.
4. Testimonials and examples
Where we publish a testimonial, review, case or reader story, it describes one person's experience at one moment. It is not a promise, a typical result or an expectation you should hold. Names and identifying details in reader stories are changed. Some examples are composites assembled from several similar messages, and are labelled as such where that is the case.
5. Third-party research and sources
We refer to published research, books and other third-party material. Citing a source does not mean its authors endorse Bond Theory, and we are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party work. Our summaries are our own reading of it and may simplify findings for a general audience.
6. External links
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites, do not endorse their content by linking to them, and are not responsible for anything you find or do there.
7. Advertising and platforms
Bond Theory is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any advertising platform, social network or search engine on which our advertisements may appear. Any platform names or trademarks mentioned belong to their owners and are used only to identify the platform.
8. Accuracy and updates
We take care to be accurate, but we make no warranty that our material is complete, current or free of error. Content may be revised or withdrawn at any time without notice.
9. Your responsibility
You are responsible for how you use what you read here. Decisions about your relationship, your health and your life are yours, and should be made with the help of qualified professionals where the situation calls for it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bond Theory accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, material we publish.
10. Age
Our material is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
