Bond Theory

Bond Theory

Closeness is a practice, not a personality trait.

We publish plain-language guides on connection, communication and repair — written for people who want their relationship to hold up on ordinary Tuesdays, not just anniversaries.

Who we are

A small publisher with one subject.

Bond Theory is an independent digital publisher. We make written and video material about how relationships actually function day to day — the conversations people avoid, the small repairs that keep resentment from settling in, the habits that quietly decide whether two people stay close.

Everything we sell is a digital product. There is nothing to ship, nothing to install, and no subscription that renews without you knowing about it. You buy a guide, you get access to it, and it is yours.

We are not therapists and we do not present ourselves as any kind of licensed professional. What we publish is educational material, drawn from published research on relationships, interviews, and reader correspondence. It is a starting point for thinking, not a treatment plan.

If your situation involves abuse, coercion, or a mental health crisis, please speak to a qualified professional or a local support service. That is outside what a written guide can do, and we would rather say so plainly.

What we publish

Three formats, one library.

Q&A

Reader questions

Readers write in with a specific situation. We answer the ones that will be useful to many people, anonymised and with identifying details changed before anything is published.

How we write

Four rules we hold ourselves to.

  • Plain language

If an idea needs jargon to sound serious, it probably is not doing much work. We write the way we would explain it to a friend across a kitchen table.

  • No shame as a tool

Making someone feel broken is an easy way to hold attention and a poor way to help. We describe patterns, not defects.

  • Honest about certainty

Where good research exists, we point to it. Where it does not, we say that this is our reading of the situation rather than dressing an opinion up as science.

  • Small enough to start today

Advice that requires an ideal week is advice nobody uses. Every guide ends with something you can do in the next twenty-four hours.

Common questions

Before you write to us.

How do I get access to something I bought?

Access details are emailed to the address used at checkout, usually within a few minutes. If it has not arrived, check your spam and promotions folders first, then write to us with the email address you used and we will resend it.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 30 days of purchase, and you do not need to explain yourself. The full terms are on our Refund Policy page.

Will this fix my relationship?

No guide can promise that, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we publish is educational material that has helped many readers think and talk differently. Results depend on your situation and on what both people are willing to do.

Do you offer counselling or private consultations?

We do not. We publish written and video material only. For personal clinical support, please contact a licensed therapist or counsellor in your area.

How is my personal data handled?

We collect the minimum needed to deliver what you bought and to send the letter if you asked for it. You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time — see the Privacy Policy.
